About TRW Lacrosse
The Right Way (TRW) Lacrosse is a 2026 boys team based out of Northern Virginia.
I started The Right Way Lacrosse simply because I wanted my kids and their teammates to have lacrosse provide the same opportunities it provided me. I commonly describe how or why a decision should be made as “The Right Way for The Right Reason.” You can’t go wrong if you truly believe that you are doing something The Right Way for The Right Reason. Regardless of the outcome, you can stand behind your decision. So… welcome to The Right Way Lacrosse.
The Right Way (TRW) is a Non-Profit 501(C)(3) organization founded to provide a great lacrosse experience for kids. The intent isn’t to create a massive club with teams for every age or to fund my kids college education. It is simply to provide what I believe is The Right Way to learn and play the game. Every dollar in goes back out to support their experience. Don’t think for a second that our approach will deliver anything less than the National clubs, in fact, we are a lot more flexible to do what should be done.
We have 3 missions to accomplish
- Have fun
- Develop the skills that make a great player
- Learn and respect what makes the lacrosse community special
How are we going to do it?
The Right Way obviously. It starts with fun. On the field, it’s about learning to play the game based on the situation at hand. It isn’t about drawing up the best play in the world. It’s about understanding situations and adapting to them accordingly, using the fundamentals taught in practice. Outside of the game it starts with cool gear. Kids love cool gear, so we are going to have the coolest gear and plenty of it. At the end of the day I want the players and the parents to be proud of the team they are part of.
Will you get my son a scholarship to play in college?
Absolutely not. If your son puts in a lot of work, is athletic, and develops into a great lacrosse player they might earn themself a chance to play at the next level. Playing in college comes down to just that, can you play in college? Do you have what it takes? My role in the process is to develop the player into the best player they can become. From there, I will do everything I can to help with the exposure a player needs to show what they can do in front of college coaches. I have leveraged my relationships in the game to have a full understanding of the recruiting process and how I can help put each players best foot forward. That is very different than what you are going to find with other teams.
